Title: Farm Anatomy: The curious pieces & parts of country life
Author/Illustrator: Julia Rothman
Date Completed: 1 May 2016
Farm Anatomy wasn't the book I was expecting. I thought it'd be more of a memoir or even a more along the lines of "how-to" guide, but it ended up being primarily illustrations with a brief overview of a lot of different aspects of farming. I mean the illustrations weren't bad...
It would be the sort of book someone who's never grown a green bean or tomato plant or went on a field trip to a farm might find more interesting. Actually, it might even be a better book for middle grade readers that have an interest in farming. The information included is solid, just very light and picture heavy. I may be taking my upbringing for granted, but this book is definitely for farming "newbies."
