Book: Junk: Digging Through America's Love Affair with StuffAuthor: Alison Stewart
Date Completed: 18 October 2016
This book was a serendipitous find on the "New Books" shelf at the library. As I am currently digging through my own pile of junk trying to sort what donate, recycle, or trash, this book caught my eye. It was an entertaining quick read, which rekindled my desire to pare down the amount of stuff and junk I have lying around! The author was obviously a journalist and each chapter read like a newspaper investigation or interview (sometimes even just transcripts). Can't say I learned anything profound, but it was fun figuratively riding around with the author on junk removal crews, stopping at lots of yard sales, visiting professional organizer conferences, and learning how a variety of people define and deal with junk.
