Electric Light Circus

The electric light apparently first made its way to Greenville not via industry, but in the circus. It was the main attraction of over 10,000 "separate and distinct novelties" so much so that it would be on even during the daytime for all to see. Ooo! Ahh! Less that 5 years later one of the textile mills began using electric lighting. Makes me wonder if those mill owners first encountered electricity at this circus.
