Easter behind closed doors

A podcast I listened to this morning sparked a realization. Many of us are going to be spending Easter an awful lot like the first disciples. Holed up at home behind locked doors wondering what comes next. They fearing the Jewish leaders, and us a virus we cannot see.
Thankfully, our perception and observation doesn't hinder God's plans. Jesus arose without an audience, band, or sermon. Death could not hold Him. Nor could the fear and unbelief of His disciples stop the rescue mission. He sought out His cowering friends, was present with them, spoke truth to them, shared a meal with them...all behind closed doors. He can do the same today. No chapels, auditoriums, or itchy Easter dresses required.
As we approach a very unusual Easter, may we not nostalgically pine for celebrations past, but be open to the new work of our risen savior. May this arouse solidarity for our brothers and sisters who have to meet in secret around the globe. May we have a fresh encounter with Christ within our homes. He is risen indeed.
How are you celebrating Easter this year?
