Food Photography

Other than capturing our adventures at historic sites and nature, most of my spare time to spend on photography these days has been focused on food before it becomes dinner. I found a youtube channel that has provided some great tips and inspired creativity for photographing vegetables. I was running out of ways to make leafy greens attractive for the farm's social media channels, so the differing ways of playing with light and some perspective changes have been fun. Additionally, I have messed around with less organic composition and would like to improve my "staging" skills and eye with food stuffs. What follows are some of the experiments. Some results better than others.
Going along with the adage, that the best camera is the one you actually have with you, I downloaded the free Lightroom app that enables me to have some manual control over my iPhone's camera when I'm capturing stuff on the fly or don't want my nicer one in the literal dirt. So these were photographed either on my iPhone 7 or nearly ancient Canon Rebel.
