Hatching Chicks!

Not a whole lot of good news shared these days between injustice, meeting evil with evil, political divisions, illness, and death. Thankfully the spring flowers remind us of beauty, resurrection, and hope. Our wildflowers and lilies are in full bloom. Have been bringing their blossoms indoors.

The hatch date for Elsie's eggs was set for June 4th or 5th. But....

When I went to check on miss Elsie the evening of June 3th, she had quite the surprise for me! A freshly hatched chick still drying off!

We hung out with her later and discovered that 4 of the 7 eggs hatched early. For now Elsie is still waiting for the last 3 to hatch. Hoping for a few more to make it, but I'm already loving these 4 cuties. Splash MaranxBrahma, grey MaranxBrahma, and 2 legbars.
